The 2022 London Book Fair
AUC Press attended the 2022 London International Book Fair (April 5 to 7) at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, the first in-person London Book Fair since 2019, displaying its books at the Saltway Global stand, in Hall 6.
This year’s fair saw 860 exhibitors instead of the 1013 exhibitors that attended in 2019. Despite the smaller than usual attendance, the mood was nonetheless very positive. “The atmosphere was exuberant, as publishers were clearly delighted to come back to in-person networking,” said Nadia Naqib, AUC Press Senior Acquisitions Editor, who attended the three-day fair.
Today, the LBF is considered a central part of the international book trade, representing the entire international publishing community, from the giant houses to small independent publishers, attracting as well copyright pros, global licensers, and rights negotiators.
