Anthony Sattin

Anthony Sattin is the author of Shooting the Breeze (a novel) and The Pharaoh’s Shadow: Travels in Ancient and Modern Egypt, the editor of Florence Nightingale’s previously unpublished Letters from Egypt, 1849–50, and a regular contributor to the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Times. Sylvie Franquet, who studied Arabic at the universities of Ghent, Tunis, and Cairo, lived in Cairo for six years working as a model, translator, and tour manager. She writes a column for the Belgian newspaper De Morgen.
