Catharine H. Roehrig

Dr. CATHARINE H. ROEHRIG is a curator in the Department of Egyptian Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. While working on her doctoral degree at the University of California, Berkeley, she spent many seasons working in western Thebes, primarily in tombs in the Valley of the Kings. She has written numerous scholarly articles and exhibition catalogues, but her best known publication is Fun With Hieroglyphs, which has been translated into seven languages.
