Daniele Salvoldi gives lectures about “From Siena to Nubia” / March 13 & 14

Daniele Salvoldi, translator and editor of the recently published From Siena to Nubia: Alessandro Ricci in Egypt and Sudan, 1817–22 (AUC Press, 2019), will give two lectures next month in Italy.

On March 13, the Egyptologist will talk at the Museo Egizio di Torino about Alessandro Ricci, the Italian physician and draftsman who traveled through Egypt and Sudan between 1817 and 1822.
On March 14, Salvoldi will give a book presentation on From Siena to Nubia at the Università di Genova.

Salvoldi holds a PhD in Egyptology from the University of Pisa and currently teaches history of architecture at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt.
