Zahi Hawass is the Secretary General of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities and former Director of the Pyramids. Kenneth Garrett has photographed archaeological subjects worldwide for National Geographic. His publications include Journey through an Ancient Land: Egypt of the Pharaohs (AUC Press, 2001).
