Marlé Hammond received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and was a research fellow in Arabic poetry and comparative poetics at St. John’s College, Oxford, from 2002 to 2006. She currently holds a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship at Oxford University. Dana Sajdi received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and is a post-doctoral fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg in Berlin. She is the editor of Ottoman Tulips, Ottoman Coffee: Leisure and Lifestyle in the 18th Century.
