Join us on November 19 at 3:00PM for the book launch of Cinematic Cairo: Egyptian Modernity from Reel to Real (AUC Press, 2022) and a lecture by the book’s editors Nezar AlSayyad, distinguished professor emeritus of architecture planning and urban history, University of California, Berkeley, USA, and Heba Safey Eldeen, professor of architecture and urban design, Misr International University, Cairo.
The lecture will be moderated by Basil Kamel, professor and chair, architecture department, AUC, and Mogib El-Rahman, associate professor of architecture, Misr International University
The in-person event will be held in Oriental Hall, at the AUC Tahrir Cultural Center, as part of the 2022 Cairo International Film Festival (November 13-22).
