Join us for the book launch of Cinematic Cairo: Egyptian Modernity from Reel to Real (AUC Press, 2022) and a lecture by the book’s co-editor (with Heba Safey Eldeen), Prof. Nezar AlSayyad, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Architecture Planning and Urban History, University of California, Berkeley, USA.
The lecture will be moderated by Dr. Basil Kamel, Professor and Chair, Architecture Department, AUC.
The in-person event will be held in Oriental Hall, at the AUC Tahrir Cultural Center, as part of the 2022 Cairo International Film Festival (November 13-22).
