JOHN BAINES is professor of Egyptology at the University of Oxford and has held university appointments in Egypt, England, France, and the United States. He has published a number of works on ancient Egypt and was coeditor of Civilizations of the Ancient Near East (4 volumes, 1995). JAROMIR MALEK holds a doctorate in Egyptology from Charles University, Prague. He has published a number of books on ancient Egypt and is editor of the Topographical Bibliography of Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphic Texts, Reliefs, and Paintings at the Griffith Institute.
Jaromir Malek is an Egyptologist and former Keeper of the Archives at the Griffith Institute at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England. He has written a number of books, including The Treasures of Ancient Egypt (2009).
